About the role

We are looking for a motivated and target driven Credit Card Sales Executive to grow card acquisition and usage across India. You will be the front line for customer engagement working closely with branches, partner merchants, and channel partners to achieve volume and quality goals. This role blends relationship building, consultative selling, and basic credit assessment to deliver profitable customer growth.


Key responsibilities

  • Drive new credit card acquisitions through branch referrals, merchant partnerships, channel partners, and field outreach
  • Educate prospects on product features benefits and responsible card usage to maximize approvals and activation rates
  • Complete KYC and application documentation accurately and ensure timely submission for underwriting
  • Coordinate with underwriting operations and onboarding teams to resolve exceptions and speed up approvals
  • Achieve monthly quarterly and annual acquisition targets while maintaining portfolio quality standards
  • Work with marketing to execute targeted campaigns and events to generate qualified leads
  • Monitor card activation spend and retention metrics and implement actions to improve them
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reports in CRM and provide weekly updates to sales manager
  • Provide feedback from the field on product features pricing and customer objections to influence product roadmap


Required skills and experience

  • 1 to 4 years experience in retail sales financial services or credit card sales in India markets
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills comfortable with both walk in customers and merchant partners
  • Basic understanding of credit assessment KYC processes and documentation requirements in India
  • Comfortable with travel and face to face customer interactions across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and ability to maintain accurate sales records
  • Customer centric consultative selling approach with high level of integrity and attention to detail


Preferred qualifications

  • Graduate degree in any discipline commerce or business preferred
  • Prior experience working with banks NBFCs or fintech firms handling credit card acquisition or personal loans
  • Knowledge of digital onboarding and instant decisioning flows is a plus


Performance metrics

  • New card accounts acquired per month and quarter
  • Approval rate on submitted applications
  • Activation rate within first 30 days
  • Average spend per active card in first 90 days
  • Portfolio vintage quality early delinquency rate
  • Conversion rate from leads to approved accounts
