Cylindrical Grinder Operator

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Cylindrical Grinder Operator to join our precision machining and tool-room operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating manual or semi-automatic cylindrical grinding machines, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cylindrical grinding machines to produce high-precision components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining dimensions
• Perform setup, dressing of wheels, job alignment, and parameter adjustments
• Ensure components meet required surface finish, concentricity, and dimensional accuracy
• Conduct in-process and final inspection using micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, etc
• Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling, and basic preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with machinists, toolmakers, and supervisors to ensure production quality and timelines
• Follow all safety standards and maintain documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience operating cylindrical or centerless grinding machines (MANDATORY)
• Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools
• Ability to produce components within tight tolerances
• Understanding of tool-room processes and machining sequences
• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Machinist, Tool & Die, or related field preferred
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for quality output
