Job Description
- Driving & Logistics: Safely operate a delivery van, follow optimized routes, and adhere to schedules and traffic laws.
- Loading/Unloading: Load the van efficiently (often in delivery order) and unload goods at customer locations, handling packages with care.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, confirm delivery details, obtain signatures, and resolve any delivery inquiries.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery logs, invoices, and other paperwork, often using handheld technology.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections, keep the van clean, and report any issues to maintain operational readiness.
- Communication: Stay in touch with dispatchers and customers about delivery status and changes.
