Dental Clinic Assistant

The Dental Assistant is responsible for ensuring the dental office operates efficiently while providing high-quality care. You will support dentists during procedures, manage infection control, and act as a primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.

• Key ResponsibilitiesClinical SupportFour-Handed Dentistry: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including cleanings, fillings, root canals, and extractions.

• Radiography: Take and process digital X-rays and 3D (CBCT) scans according to safety protocols.
• 
  
• Patient Prep: Set up treatment rooms with required instruments and materials; seat and drape patients for procedures.
• 
  
• Laboratory Tasks: Take dental impressions, pour and trim study casts, and help with the fabrication of temporary crowns or bridges.
• 
  
• Health & SafetySterilization: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• 
  
• Maintenance: Disinfect treatment rooms between patients and perform routine maintenance on dental machinery.
• Inventory: Monitor and order clinical supplies to ensure the office never runs out of essentials.
• 
  
• Patient Experience & AdminEducation: Provide post-operative instructions and teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques.
• 
  
• Documentation: Accurately update patient electronic health records (EHR) and document treatment plans.
• 
  
• Coordination: Assist the front desk with scheduling, confirming appointments, and verifying insurance as needed
