Die Fitter

• 1. Die Assembly & FittingAssemble and fit die components according to engineering drawings.
• Ensure correct alignment, clearance, and finishing of die parts.
• Fit punches, guide pins, bushings, springs, and other components.
• 2. Die Maintenance & RepairInspect dies for wear, cracks, or damage.
• Perform repairs such as grinding, filing, polishing, and surface finishing.
• Replace damaged or worn-out parts (pins, plates, inserts, etc.).
• Recondition dies for extended service life.
• Die loading and unloading in to press machine.

Use precision measuring tools such as:

• Vernier calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gauges
• Dial indicators

*Conduct trial runs of dies on machines (press, forging hammer, molding machine).

*Identify issues such as misalignment, burrs, cracks, or improper forming.

*Make adjustments to achieve desired part quality
