Job Description

Role OverviewThe Drone Integration Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design, assembly, integration, programming, testing, and optimization of FPV, agricultural, and industrial drone platforms. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Pixhawk flight controllers, Mission Planner, and Betaflight, along with deep understanding of UAV hardware, firmware, and operational testing.

  • Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Drone Assembly & FabricationAssemble FPV, agricultural, and industrial drones from components including frames, motors, ESCs, propellers, power distribution systems, and payloads
  • Fabricate and customize drone frames and mounts using carbon fiber, aluminum, or 3D-printed components
  • Integrate payloads such as cameras, sprayers, multispectral sensors, LiDAR, and delivery mechanisms
  • Perform soldering, wiring, cable management, and EMI/EMC best practices
  • 2. Flight Controller Integration & ConfigurationConfigure and tune Pixhawk flight controllers for multirotor and fixed-wing platforms
  • Calibrate sensors including IMU, compass, barometer, GPS, and RC inputs
  • Configure flight modes, failsafe settings, geofencing, and redundancy systems
  • Integrate telemetry radios, RTK GPS, and companion computers where required
  • 3. Programming & Software SetupConfigure and tune Betaflight for FPV drones including PID tuning, rates, filters, and OSD
  • Use Mission Planner for waypoint creation, autonomous missions, and parameter tuning
  • Upload and manage firmware for flight controllers, ESCs, and peripherals
  • Integrate ground control systems and RC transmitters
  • Support scripting or customization using MAVLink, Lua scripts, or companion computer software (where applicable)
  • 4. Testing, Validation & TroubleshootingConduct bench testing, pre-flight checks, and system validation
  • Perform flight testing for stability, endurance, payload performance, and safety
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, and communication issues
  • Optimize performance parameters for FPV racing, agricultural spraying, and industrial inspection missions
  • Maintain detailed test reports, logs, and configuration documentation
  • 5. Agricultural & Industrial Drone OperationsConfigure agricultural drones for spraying, spreading, and mapping missions
  • Ensure correct calibration of flow meters, pumps, and nozzles
  • Support industrial applications such as surveying, inspection, mapping, and surveillance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory guidelines
  • 6. Maintenance & Continuous ImprovementPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on UAV platforms
  • Recommend component upgrades and system improvements
  • Stay updated with latest UAV technologies, firmware releases, and industry standards
  • Support training and knowledge transfer to operators or junior engineers
  • Technical Expertise RequiredHardware & SystemsStrong knowledge of multirotor and fixed-wing UAV architectures
  • Motors, ESCs, batteries (LiPo/Li-ion), power systems
  • GPS, telemetry, RC systems, cameras, and payload integration
  • Soldering, wiring diagrams, and electrical troubleshooting
