Job Title: Elder Caregiver / Senior Care Assistant

Reporting To: Care Supervisor / Family Representative / Home Care Agency Manager

Job Summary

As an Elder Caregiver, you will provide compassionate, respectful, and trustworthy support to elderly clients in their homes or care facilities. You will assist with daily activities, ensure safety and comfort, support emotional well-being, and help maintain a dignified lifestyle for seniors under your care.

🧑‍⚕️ Key Responsibilities

• Daily Personal Care
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and hygiene.
• Help with feeding and eating assistance as needed.

Health & Medication Support

• Provide medication reminders and monitor medication schedules.
• Communicate changes in health status to family or health professionals.

Mobility & Safety

• Support safe movement and transfers (e.g., bed to chair).
• Maintain a safe environment to prevent falls or injuries.

Emotional & Companionship Support

• Spend quality time providing companionship and emotional reassurance.
• Encourage social engagement and positive mental health.

Household Assistance

• Prepare simple meals, organize groceries, and assist with light housekeeping.
• Help with laundry, organizing living spaces, and running errands as required.

Record-Keeping & Communication

• Maintain basic care records and observations regarding the senior’s health and routine.
• Communicate promptly with families and care supervisors on updates and any concerns.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10th pass or relevant qualification (higher education in healthcare is a plus).
• Experience in elder care, home care, nursing, or related caregiving preferred but not always required.
• Basic first-aid training / caregiver certification (advantageous).
• Good communication skills and a compassionate attitude.

💰 Compensation & Benefits

• Typical monthly salary range: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000+ (varies by experience and employer) in Bengaluru.
