Description Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Maintenance

Technician 

Key

ResponsibilitiesMechanical

Maintenance●      Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, compressors, HVAC systems, gearboxes, and production machinery.

●      Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules.

●      Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.

●      Replace defective components and ensure proper alignment and calibration.

●      Maintain lubrication systems and monitor equipment performance.

Electrical

Maintenance●      Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including control panels, wiring, lighting, and power distribution systems.

●      Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, PLCs, sensors, and automation systems.

●      Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

●      Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.).

●      Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations.

General

Duties●      Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.

●      Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

●      Follow health & safety policies and procedures.

●      Support continuous improvement initiatives.

●      Coordinate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime.

●      Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Qualifications

& Requirements●      Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

●      Proven experience in industrial maintenance or facility maintenance.

●      Knowledge of HVAC, PLC systems, motors, pumps, and electrical control systems.

●      Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

●      Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

●      Good communication and teamwork skills.

●      Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.

Preferred

Skills●      Experience with preventive maintenance software (CMMS).

●      Welding and fabrication skills.

●      Knowledge of automation and control systems.

●      Basic understanding of energy management systems.
