Electrical Technician

Job Title: Wireman / Field TechnicianCompany: Airtel

Job Summary:The Wireman is responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Airtel telecom services including fiber, broadband, and related wiring at customer premises and network sites.

• Key Responsibilities:Install, route, and terminate fiber optic / copper cables as per Airtel standards
• Perform FTTH (Fiber to the Home) installations and activations
• Carry out cable laying, jointing, splicing, and labeling
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in broadband, voice, and internet connections
• Use testing tools such as OTDR, power meter, LAN tester
• Ensure proper dressing, earthing, and safety compliance at sites
• Coordinate with network and backend teams for issue resolution
• Maintain daily work reports and service records
• Follow company safety rules and quality guidelines
• Provide basic customer support during installation or repair visits
• Skills & Requirements:ITI / Diploma in Electrician, Wireman, Electronics, or Telecom
• Basic knowledge of telecom networks, fiber optics, and wiring
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
• Understanding of safety procedures and PPE usage
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Willingness to work in shifts and field conditions
