Electrical Technician

Job Summary: The Solar Technician / Electrician is responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems. The role involves working on rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely project execution.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Installation & Execution: Install solar PV systems including modules, inverters, wiring, and mounting structures, Execute installations as per approved design and site requirements. Ensure proper cable routing, earthing, and system connections
• Electrical Work: Handle AC/DC wiring, panel board connections, and inverter integration. Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety norms, Identify and rectify electrical faults during installation
• Testing & Commissioning: Perform system testing, checks, and commissioning of solar systems. Verify system performance and ensure proper functioning before handover, Coordinate with senior engineers for final approvals
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance and inspection of solar systems. Diagnose and resolve issues related to panels, inverters, and wiring, Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of complaints
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols while working at heights and with electrical systems, Use PPE kits and adhere to site safety guidelines. Report any unsafe conditions immediately
• Site Coordination: Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and site teams for smooth execution. Maintain discipline and professionalism at client site Support in material handling and site readiness
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of installation, testing, and service activities Share daily work updates and report issues to the reporting manager

Key Requirements:

• Education & ExperienceITI / Diploma in Electrical or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in solar installation or electrical work
• SkillsBasic knowledge of solar PV systems
• Understanding of electrical wiring and safety standards
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
