Job Description (JD)
Position Title: Trainee Engineer – Installation, Commissioning & Service
Department: Installation and Service Operations
Industry: Lift and Elevator Installation, Maintenance, and Servicing
Location: Bangalore/ Any
Reporting To: Senior Engineer / Supervisor
Purpose of the Role:
To gain hands-on experience in the installation and servicing of elevators and escalators by assisting senior engineers, learning industry-specific technical skills, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior engineers in the installation and servicing of elevators and escalators.
- Learn and follow technical procedures and safety protocols during on-site operations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals under guidance.
- Perform basic tasks such as equipment handling, wiring, and alignment under supervision.
- Participate in preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Document observations and maintain records of tasks completed during training.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to improve technical knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Support in testing, commissioning, and ensuring the equipment meets safety standards.

- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in the lift industry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.

Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
Experience:
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant internship/apprenticeship experience.

- Assisting in Installation:
- Supporting the installation team with basic assembly, wiring, and alignment of elevator components.

- Gaining practical knowledge of elevator mechanics, electronics, and safety systems.
- Participating in technical workshops and hands-on training sessions.
- Preventive Maintenance Support:
- Assisting in routine inspections and servicing of elevators and escalators.
- Identifying and reporting minor issues to senior engineers.
- Safety Adherence:
- Following all safety instructions during on-site operations.
- Wearing protective equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Documentation and Observations:
- Recording observations during installation and service tasks.
- Preparing and submitting learning logs and progress reports to supervisors.
