Through our GOALOKA Skill Gurukul and GOALOKA Career Gurukul initiatives, we conduct engaging weekend workshops in large gated communities and undergraduate colleges across Bangalore, creating pathways to larger community transformation events.

Position Overview

Role: Weekend Event Associate

Employment Type: Part-Time (Fixed Weekend Commitment)

Location: Bangalore (Electronic City to Whitefield corridor)

Work Mode: On-Site

We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible students and young professionals who want meaningful weekend work while gaining hands-on experience in event management, community engagement, and content creation.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Execution & Support

• Assist in planning and executing GOALOKA workshops in gated communities and colleges

• Set up event materials, decorations, and activity stations

• Ensure smooth event flow and address logistical requirements

Community Engagement• Interact professionally with residents, parents, children, and college students

• Support guest registration and hospitality during events

• Visit apartment communities to coordinate with management committees and schedule events (when assigned)

Content & Documentation• Capture high-quality photos and video clips during workshops

• Assist with basic event documentation and reporting

• Support social media content creation efforts

Training & Development• Participate in pre-event training sessions conducted by GOALOKA

• Continuously improve skills in event management and community relations

Work Schedule & Commitment

Schedule Structure:

• Weekend-based assignment with fixed recurring commitment

• Choose your availability pattern (examples):

○ 1st Saturday of every month

○ 1st Sunday of every month

○ 2nd Saturday and Sunday of every month

○ All Saturdays/Sundays in a month

○ Minimum: One day per month

Important: Once you commit to specific weekend(s), attendance is mandatory on those dates.

Work Duration:

8-9 hours per event day

Compensation & BenefitsFixed salary per working day

Required Skills & QualitiesEssential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Basic mobile photography/videography skills (or willingness to learn)

• Prior experience in events, volunteering, or community work (not mandatory)

• Ability to interact confidently with diverse age groups

Work LocationsEvents will be conducted primarily in:

• Large gated communities across Bangalore

Focus area:

Electronic City to Whitefield corridor

• Undergraduate colleges in the same region

Specific assignments will be shared in advance
