Fashion Faculty

Job Summary:

The Fashion Faculty is responsible for delivering high-quality training in fashion design, mentoring students, and supporting their creative and technical development. The role involves teaching design concepts, garment construction, fashion illustration, and industry practices while ensuring students gain practical and professional skills.

• Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Training: Deliver lectures and practical sessions in fashion design subjects.
• Teach fashion illustration, garment construction, pattern making, and textiles.
• Provide hands-on training in sewing techniques and design development.
• Prepare lesson plans, course materials, and assignments.
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and design projects.
• Student Development: Guide students in portfolio development and final collections.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor students for fashion shows, exhibitions, and competitions.
• Support students in internships and career opportunities.
• Curriculum & Academic Support: Follow the institute's curriculum and academic standards.
• Update course content based on current fashion trends.
• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and grading.
• Maintain student records and attendance.
• Industry & Creative Engagement: Stay updated with the latest fashion trends, tools, and technologies.
• Organise fashion events, shows, and exhibitions.
• Share industry insights and professional practices.
• Collaborate with industry professionals when required.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Certification in fashion design (preferred).
• 1–3 years of teaching or industry experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of fashion illustration, pattern making, and garment construction.
• Required Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Creative thinking and design expertise.
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and fashion trends.
• Basic knowledge of fashion software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong mentoring and student engagement skills.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Student performance and satisfaction.
• Quality of student portfolios and projects.
• Course completion rates.
• Participation in fashion events and activities.
