Field Engineer

📌 Job Title: Field Engineer – CMS (Content Management Systems) in Telecommunications

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• CMS Deployment & Configuration: Install and configure CMS platforms used for managing telecom content, subscriber data, and service provisioning.
• System Integration: Integrate CMS with other telecom systems such as OSS/BSS, billing platforms, and network management tools.
• Field Operations: Perform on-site installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting of CMS-related hardware and software.
• Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure uptime of CMS infrastructure.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of configurations, updates, and field reports.
• Customer Support: Provide technical assistance to clients and internal teams regarding CMS functionality and issues.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure CMS operations comply with telecom regulations, data protection standards, and internal security protocols.

🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years in telecom field engineering with exposure to CMS platforms.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with telecom CMS tools (e.g., Ericsson CMS, Huawei U2000), Linux/Unix systems, SQL databases, and scripting languages.
• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CMS vendor certifications, or ITIL.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel to remote sites and work flexible hours.
