Role Overview

The Installation & Service Technician will be responsible for visiting customer sites across India for site measurement, installation, and service of Bethliving’s steel modular products. This role requires strong technical skills, willingness to travel, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Measurement

• Visit customer locations to take accurate site measurements for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and other steel interior products.

• Coordinate with the design & sales team to ensure measurements are precise for production.

• Identify site readiness, constraints, and report issues before installation.

2. Product Installation

• Install modular kitchens, wardrobes, loft units, vanities, and other Bethliving products as per company standards.

• Ensure installations are 100% aligned, levelled, and finished to premium quality standards.

• Handle tools, fixtures, and installation materials responsibly.

• Work with senior technicians and project managers on-site to complete installations within timelines.

3. Service & Maintenance

• Attend service calls for adjustments, repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance.

• Diagnose issues related to hinges, drawers, shutters, frames, or finishing, and provide timely resolutions.

• Maintain excellent customer communication and ensure high satisfaction.

4. Travel

• Willingness to travel extensively across India for measurement, installation, and service.

• Ability to work at customer sites, project sites, and outstation locations as required.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily reports, service logs, and installation checklists.

• Take photos/videos of completed work for documentation.

• Coordinate with the backend team for spare requests, escalations, or site updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience in modular kitchen or modular furniture installation preferred.

• Knowledge of hand tools & power tools (drilling, cutting, fixing, leveling).

• Ability to read basic technical drawings and layouts.

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Education

• ITI / Diploma in Carpentry, Fitter, Mechanical, or related field.

• Candidates with strong practical skills and experience are also welcome.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in installation or service technician roles.

• Experience in modular kitchen or interior fit-out industry is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Customer-friendly attitude and communication skills.

• Discipline, punctuality, and ownership of work.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
