Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Setup: Installing, configuring, and commissioning new vending machines at client sites.

• Maintenance & Repair: Performing routine preventive maintenance, replacing faulty components (motors, sensors, coin mechanisms, card readers), and conducting repairs.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical, electronic, and mechanical faults, including refrigeration systems for cold beverage/snack machines.

• System Upkeep: Ensuring proper functionality of payment systems (cash/card) and software, and testing machines after repairs.

• Documentation & Reporting: Keeping accurate records of service visits, parts used, and maintenance logs.

• Customer Interaction: Providing basic training to customers on how to operate machines.

Requirements

• Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrician, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Field Experience: Ability to travel to various client sites.

• Assets: A valid 2-wheeler license and personal vehicle are often mandatory.

• Physical Ability: Good manual dexterity and the ability to lift/handle heavy equipment.

• Technical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

• Communication: Ability to work with team members and report to managers.

• Working Hours: Often requires flexibility for evening or weekend service calls due to 24/7 machine operations.

Typical Salary & Benefits (India Context)

• Salary Range: ₹16,000 - ₹22,000 per month, depending on experience and location.
