Job Description
- 🔥 Fire Alarm Technician – Roles & Responsibilities1. InstallationInstall fire alarm panels, detectors, modules, sounders, strobes, pull stations, and related devices.
- Follow electrical and fire safety codes during installation.
- Test wiring and connections for proper operation.
- 2. Maintenance & ServicingPerform routine inspection of fire alarm systems.
- Replace faulty detectors, batteries, and control panel components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational.
- 3. Troubleshooting & RepairsDiagnose issues such as wiring faults, loop errors, device failures, or panel malfunctions.
- Repair or replace damaged equipment and restore full functionality.
- Respond to emergency breakdown calls.
- 4. System TestingPerform loop testing, device testing, and sound/ visual alarm tests.
- Verify communication with fire pump, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
- Complete testing checklists as per NFPA or local authority standards.
- 5. DocumentationMaintain service reports, inspection logs, and test records.
- Document device location, wiring routes, and system configuration.
- 6. Coordination & ComplianceCoordinate with engineers, safety officers, and contractors.
- Ensure systems meet fire safety codes and standards.
- Assist with commissioning and handing over systems to clients.
- ⚡ Electrician – Roles & Responsibilities1. Electrical InstallationInstall wiring, conduits, cable trays, switches, MCBs, sockets, DB panels, and lighting fixtures.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and layouts.
- Follow electrical safety standards (IEC, NEC, or local regulations).
- 2. Maintenance & RepairTroubleshoot electrical faults such as short circuits, overloads, tripping, and equipment failures.
- Replace damaged wiring, switches, breakers, and electrical equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance of panels, motors, and lighting systems.
- 3. Testing & InspectionTest voltage, current, resistance, and insulation using multimeter, megger, and other tools.
- Inspect electrical installations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- 4. Safety & ComplianceFollow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensure all work meets safety codes and company procedures.
- Use PPE and ensure safe working conditions.
- 5. DocumentationMaintain maintenance records, work orders, and material usage logs.
- Report electrical issues and corrective actions taken.
- 6. CoordinationCoordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.
