Job Title: General Manager – Sales

Industry: uPVC & Aluminium Windows & Doors

Location: Nagarbhavi

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO



Role Overview

The General Manager – Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading the sales strategy for uPVC and aluminium windows and doors. The role requires strong industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in B2B and project sales.



Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Identify new market opportunities (residential, commercial, builders, architects, contractors)
  • Expand dealer/distributor network across regions
  • Drive key account management for large projects

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the regional/state sales teams
  • Set KPIs, targets, and performance metrics
  • Conduct regular sales reviews and training programs
  • Build a high-performance sales culture

3. Channel Development

  • Develop and strengthen dealer and distributor networks
  • Maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, and consultants
  • Ensure channel partner profitability and engagement

4. Project Sales & Key Accounts

  • Handle large project negotiations (real estate developers, commercial projects)
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle from lead generation to closure
  • Coordinate with technical and execution teams for project delivery

5. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market dynamics
  • Provide insights for product development and positioning
  • Identify customer needs and emerging trends

6. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with production, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with marketing for brand promotion and lead generation

7. Financial & Reporting

  • Manage sales budgets, forecasting, and revenue planning
  • Monitor margins and pricing strategies
  • Provide regular MIS reports to senior management



Key Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA preferred

Experience:

  • 12–18 years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong experience in uPVC / aluminium windows & doors / building materials industry
  • Proven track record in B2B, channel sales, and project sales
