Job Description

About Grand Poker Arena

Grand Poker Arena is Bengaluru's most premium members-only poker club — a space built for serious players who expect more. From the quality of the felt to the calibre of the company, every element of GPA has been designed with one purpose: to create the finest poker experience in India.

GPA is more than a club. It is the foundation of a poker movement — one that aims to elevate the game culturally, competitively, and aspirationally across the country. The Grand, GPA's flagship annual tournament, is being built to become India's most prestigious live poker event.

Our visual identity is as important as anything that happens on the felt. The Graphic Designer is the person who brings GPA's brand to life — every post, every creative, every piece of communication that goes out under our name.

Role Overview

The Graphic Designer at GPA is a core member of the marketing team, working directly under the Director of Marketing. This role is responsible for producing all visual content across GPA's digital and physical touchpoints — social media creatives, tournament collateral, in-club signage, member communications, event branding, and everything in between.

We are building toward becoming India's most recognisable poker brand. That means the visual standard has to be exceptional — not just good. We are looking for a designer who has a strong aesthetic sensibility, takes pride in craft, and understands what premium looks and feels like. Someone who can work at pace without ever letting quality slip.

This is not a templating role. Every brief is an opportunity to produce something that makes GPA look like the best poker brand in India. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and it is the standard we expect from our designer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media & Digital Content

• Design all social media creatives for Instagram, Facebook, and Threads — carousels, single-image posts, Reels covers, Story graphics, and highlight covers.

• Produce visually consistent, on-brand content across all digital channels at the volume required by the monthly content calendar.

• Design WhatsApp Channel graphics — event announcements, tournament updates, and member communications.

• Collaborate with the marketing team on creative concepts — bringing ideas to life quickly and accurately.

• Adapt creatives across formats and sizes without compromising visual quality.

2. Tournament & Event Branding

• Lead the visual identity of The Grand and all GPA tournament events — from teaser creatives to winner announcement graphics.

• Design event collateral — backdrops, banners, table cards, player badges, programme booklets, and prize certificates.

• Produce promotional material for event marketing campaigns — digital ads, posters, and hype reels.

• Ensure tournament branding is consistent, premium, and builds on GPA's visual identity without diluting it.

3. In-Club Signage & Print

• Design and maintain all in-club signage — notice boards, house rules displays, cashier policy boards, table signage, and directional signage.

• Produce print-ready files to professional standards — bleed, CMYK, correct resolution — for all physical collateral.

• Coordinate with the GM and Admin team on signage requirements and update cycles.

• Design membership cards, loyalty tier materials, and any branded physical assets as required.

4. Brand Consistency

• Be the guardian of GPA's visual identity — ensuring every creative, across every format, is consistent with the brand palette, typography, and tone.

• Maintain and organise a master asset library — logos, templates, approved imagery, fonts, and brand guidelines.

• Brief and review any external creative work (from agencies or freelancers) against GPA's brand standards.

• Flag and correct any off-brand usage across internal or external communications.

5. Video & Motion (Preferred)

• Produce basic motion graphics and animated creatives for Reels, Stories, and digital ads.

• Edit short-form video content for social media — trimming, captioning, adding graphics and music where required.

• Support the marketing team in producing hype reels and event highlight videos for The Grand and club events.

6. Collaboration & Workflow

• Work closely with the Director of Marketing on all briefs — understanding objectives, timelines, and approval requirements before beginning work.

• Submit all creatives for approval at least 48 hours before the publish deadline — never miss a scheduled post due to late delivery.

• Maintain a clear and organised workflow — active projects, pending approvals, and completed work — accessible to the marketing team at all times.

• Take feedback constructively and revise quickly — the approval process is part of the job, not an obstacle.

What We Are Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 2–3 years of graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating work across digital and print.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at minimum.

• Strong typographic sensibility — you understand how type, layout, and hierarchy work together.

• Experience designing for social media — understanding platform formats, dimensions, and what performs.

• Ability to work at pace — GPA produces a high volume of content and timelines are non-negotiable.

• Meticulous attention to detail — pixel-perfect output, correct file formats, and zero errors in published work.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience working with a premium lifestyle, hospitality, entertainment, or luxury brand.

• Motion graphics capability — After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent.

• Experience with print production — preparing files for professional print houses.

• Familiarity with Canva or similar tools for quick-turnaround social content alongside Adobe tools.

• An understanding of poker or the gaming/entertainment world — knowing your audience makes better creative.

Portfolio Requirements

• A strong portfolio is mandatory. Candidates without a portfolio will not be considered.

• Portfolio should demonstrate: social media content, brand identity work, event or campaign collateral, and typography-led design.

• Premium or lifestyle brand experience in the portfolio will be viewed favourably.

• Please include a portfolio link or PDF with your application.

Personal Attributes

• Strong aesthetic instinct — you know what looks premium and what looks cheap, and you care about the difference.

• Self-directed — able to take a brief and run with it without constant hand-holding.

• Collaborative — works well with the marketing team, takes feedback gracefully, and delivers revisions without drama.

• Consistent — maintains quality at volume; does not produce great work one week and average work the next.

• Ambitious — sees GPA as a brand worth building, not just a job to do.

What GPA Offers

• A high-output creative role at Bengaluru's most premium poker club — with real creative challenge and variety.

• The opportunity to shape the visual identity of a brand being built from the ground up.

• Direct involvement in The Grand — India's most ambitious live poker tournament brand.

• Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and portfolio quality.

• A marketing team with vision, ambition, and a genuine appreciation for great design.
