The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of a private residence, ensuring smooth household functioning, comfort, and efficiency. This role requires excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, along with the ability to anticipate household needs and manage staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Operations

Supervise the daily running of the household.

Maintain schedules for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.

Ensure all household systems (electric, plumbing, appliances, etc.) are functioning properly.

Staff Management

Hire, train, and supervise household staff (drivers, cooks, cleaners, gardeners, etc.).

Prepare staff rosters and manage leave schedules.

Ensure high standards of service and discipline are maintained.

Household Administration

Handle vendor contracts, invoices, and negotiations.

Manage inventory of supplies, groceries, and household items.

Hospitality & Family Support

Plan and oversee events, parties, or gatherings at the residence.

Ensure household runs smoothly when the family is at home or away.

Property & Security Management

Monitor upkeep of property (gardens, gym, etc.).

Handle emergencies, repairs, and crisis management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience as a House Manager, or in luxury hospitality.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Basic knowledge of home maintenance and vendor management.

Discretion, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Proficiency in budgeting and household

Work Environment & Hours:

Based at the residence, with flexibility for extended hours, evenings, weekends depending on household needs.
