Job PurposeThe Housekeeping Manager at Machaxi is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all Machaxi centres. The role ensures that training courts, common areas, washrooms, offices, and player facilities are clean, presentable, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards, supporting a professional environment for players, coaches, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Housekeeping Operations

• Oversee daily housekeeping activities across all Machaxi facilities including courts, locker rooms, washrooms, reception areas, offices, and storage areas
• Ensure centres are clean, hygienic, and ready before training sessions begin
• Conduct routine inspections and take corrective actions immediately
• Ensure cleanliness standards align with Machaxi SOPs and brand expectations

2. Staff Supervision & Management

• Manage in-house and/or outsourced housekeeping staff
• Prepare duty rosters and allocate tasks based on centre schedules and peak hours
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline of housekeeping staff
• Train staff on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, hygiene standards, and safety practices

3. Inventory & Equipment Management

• Maintain adequate stock of cleaning materials, consumables, and equipment
• Monitor usage and control wastage
• Raise purchase requests and coordinate with admin/procurement teams
• Ensure proper storage and safe handling of chemicals and equipment

4. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, especially in sports and child-centric environments
• Implement cleaning schedules for high-touch areas and playing surfaces
• Ensure safe disposal of waste and adherence to local municipal guidelines
• Support audits and inspections, if any

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Centre Heads, coaches, and operations teams to align housekeeping schedules with training batches and events
• Handle housekeeping-related complaints and resolve them promptly
• Submit regular reports on manpower, attendance, inventory, and issues

Key Skills & Competencies.

• Strong supervisory and people-management skills
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations in academies, sports facilities, schools, or commercial premises
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to manage multiple centres or large facilities
• Basic reporting and inventory tracking skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Basic computer knowledge
• Prior experience in academies, schools, sports facilities, hospitals, or corporate facilities preferred

Working Conditions

• Requires early-morning and evening supervision based on training schedules
• May require weekend and holiday presence during tournaments or special events
