Housekeeping Staff

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor / Resort Manager

Job PurposeTo maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal across the resort’s heritage villas, guest rooms, and public areas, ensuring every guest experiences a "home-away-from-home" atmosphere in a pristine environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Servicing: Perform daily cleaning of heritage rooms and villas, including bed making, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting antique furniture/artifacts.
• Bathroom Sanitation: Deep clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensuring all brass/chrome fixtures are polished and towels are replaced.
• Amenity Management: Replenish room supplies (toiletries, mineral water, coffee/tea kits) and ensure the fireplace (if applicable) is clean and ready.
• Public Area Maintenance: Keep the reception, library, restaurant, and corridors spotless. Pay special attention to high-traffic areas and heritage decor.
• Linen & Laundry: Handle the collection of soiled linens and ensure fresh, stain-free linens are used. Assist with guest laundry requests promptly.
• Reporting: Immediately report any maintenance issues (leaking taps, fused bulbs, or broken furniture) and "Lost & Found" items to the supervisor.
• Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests (extra pillows, towels, etc.) with a polite and helpful attitude, reflecting Malnad hospitality.
• Required Skills & QualificationsExperience: 0–2 years in housekeeping (experience in a resort or heritage hotel is a plus).
• Education: 10th/12th standard pass; a certificate in Hospitality/Housekeeping is preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot dust on high ledges or stains on linen that others might miss.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to walk across the plantation property and handle the physical nature of cleaning for long shifts.
• Language: Basic proficiency in Kannada (essential) and basic English or Hindi (preferred for guest interaction).

• Shift Work: Must be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
