Housekeeping Staff

The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in assigned areas. This role ensures a safe, tidy, and comfortable environment for guests, employees, or residents by following established cleaning procedures and service standards.

• Key Responsibilities1. Cleaning & MaintenanceSweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, sinks, and showers.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels.
• Empty trash bins and remove waste appropriately.
• Wash, fold, and organize laundry (when applicable).
• Replenish room supplies (soap, shampoo, tissue, water, etc.).
• 2. Room & Area PreparationEnsure rooms or assigned areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Report maintenance issues (broken fixtures, leaks, damaged equipment).
• Arrange furniture and items in an orderly manner.
• Prepare rooms for new guests, patients, or employees depending on the environment.
• 3. Safety & ComplianceFollow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
• Comply with organizational policies and housekeeping SOPs.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations (e.g., infection control in hospitals).
• 4. Communication & CoordinationCoordinate with supervisors regarding schedules and priorities.
• Report lost-and-found items.
