Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Location: Shivamogga / Bangalore

Industry: Spices & Arecanut Manufacturing, Trading and FMCG

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on experience)

  • VIPL – B2B spice manufacturing and distribution
  • TIPL – Export division handling international spice trade
  • Vfirst – Retail business focused on spice and consumer products

Job Summary

The HR Executive/Manager will oversee end-to-end HR functions across three verticals—B2B, Export, and Retail. The role involves recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations aligned with business goals in the spice industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage hiring for factory workers, sales teams, export staff, and retail employees
  • Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower needs
  • Handle sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding
  • Maintain talent pipeline for seasonal and bulk hiring (especially in spice production)

2. Employee Onboarding & Training

  • Conduct induction programs for new hires
  • Ensure smooth onboarding across VIPL, TIPL, and Vfirst
  • Organize training sessions (product knowledge, hygiene, export compliance, retail service)

3. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Manage attendance, leave, and payroll coordination
  • Handle employee contracts and documentation for export division
  • Ensure HR policies are implemented across all units

 

 

 

4. Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, and export norms
  • Maintain statutory records (PF, ESI, gratuity, etc.)
  • Handle audits and inspections (especially for export certifications)

5. Performance Management

  • Implement appraisal systems and performance tracking
  • Support managers in setting KPIs for B2B, export, and retail teams
  • Monitor employee productivity and engagement

6. Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Address employee grievances and maintain a healthy work environment
  • Plan engagement activities and retention strategies
  • Build strong communication between management and staff
  • Conduct employee meetings and feedback sessions.
  • Promote a positive work culture and team environment.

7. Payroll, Compensation & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate payroll processing with finance team
  • Monitor salary structures, incentives (sales/export), and benefits
  • Ensure timely salary disbursement and compliance

·      Coordinate with management on workforce planning.

·      Support company expansion plans and manpower planning.

·      Maintain HR reports and management updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–8 years of HR experience (manufacturing/export/retail preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multi-location teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office / HR software

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in FMCG / Spice Industry / Food Processing
  • Exposure to export documentation and compliance
  • Handling blue-collar + white-collar workforce
