Role & responsibilities

Actively hiring for Manager/Senior Manager - Export & Import to deliver excellence in high-volume EXIM operations with strong command over DGFT, customs and domestic & international shipping practices.

• Importing and exporting are important for the growth and development of national economies because they allow countries to access the best products, services, and technologies.
• Importing machinery as required for company operations is essential. The focus (25/10/2024) is on importing finished goods from China and raw materials as required by the company. Full responsibility includes managing import pricing and supplying goods to DLR Company.
• Additionally, exporting and marketing products will be carried out when demand arises.
• Develop sustainable business processes to classify new products and technologies in accordance with multinational dual-use and military export controls, economic sanctions regulations, and other related compliance requirements.
• Train, develop, and monitor the performance of team members (November).
• Overall responsibility includes ensuring well-packaged, on-time shipments in response to customer orders, and overseeing the productivity of assigned shipping and receiving personnel.
• Compile and maintain applicable metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
• Responsible for researching products and making timely and accurate classifications using the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule D.
• Also responsible for classifying export control commodities, technology, and software in compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
• Provide import/export education and training for campus staff and researchers, and communicate and reinforce compliance policies.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of desktop procedures, tools, and forms applicable to U.S. import/export international shipment operations.
• Experience in high volume(250 containers & LCL-loose Container Load) shipment of Export & Import.
• Import Approx. (50-70 FCL-Full Container Load) P/M of raw material of capital goods)
• All Export Import related documentation (Pre Shipment & Post Shipment)
• All compliances related to DGFT, customs, SEEPZ, ECGC and any other government bodies related to export and import.
• Experience in handling transporters, CHAs, C&Fs, shipping lines.
• Planning for Monthly Transportation
• Knowledge of Custom process for EOU (Export Orientated Unit), Import & Export
• In-depth knowledge of DGFT, Foreign Trade Policy--Advance Authorization, DFIA, EPCG
• Other Export Benefits-RODTEP, DBK(Drawback)
• Knowledge of FEMA, Bank Lodgement, IDPMS-ORM, EDPMS-IRM
• Knowledge of Incoterms, custom norms and shipping terminology.
• Day to day Query for Custom clearance, Nominated Fried Forwarded and shipping line
• Negotiation of Air Freight , Sea Freight, Custom Clearance Charges , Transport Charges
• ECGC
• External Security Audit
