Job Title: Admission OfficerDepartment: Sales

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Branch Head

Work Type: Full-time | Weekly Off: Rotational

Experience Required: 2–7 Years

Job PurposeThe Admission Officer is responsible for conducting structured counselling sessions with students and parents to understand academic goals and recommend suitable educational programs. The role requires a strong orientation towards sales and customer engagement, with a focus on converting leads into successful admissions.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesConduct counselling sessions to assess and understand the academic needs of students.
  • Promote and sell a portfolio of educational programs through up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Convert prospective leads into confirmed admissions by following a consultative sales approach.
  • Maintain accurate student records in the lead management system and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Participate actively in training programs to continuously upgrade product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Adhere to internal compliance and operational guidelines.
  • Required Skills and CompetenciesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to handle students and parents with empathy and patience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Fluency in English and at least one regional language.
  • Preferred AttitudeCustomer-focused mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Ownership and accountability in meeting sales targets.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Result-driven and resilient under pressure.
  • Educational QualificationBachelor’s degree is mandatory.
  • Candidates with a background in BTech, MBA, Psychology, or Education will be preferred.
  • ExperiencePrior experience in education counselling or academic sales is desirable.
  • Background in Business-to-Customer (B2C) sales from any industry will be considered an advantage.
