Job Description

Job Title: Site Supervisor - Pan India Travel

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee construction and project activities across various locations in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires frequent travel to project sites across the country, as well as efficient management of vendors and labor resources.

Responsibilities:

  1. Site Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential issues, providing timely solutions.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and complies with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly.
  1. Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all workers and contractors adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  1. Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to select and manage vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues that may arise during the project.
  1. Labor Management:
  • Supervise and manage on-site labor, including subcontractors, ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Address personnel issues, provide training as needed, and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  1. Budget and Cost Control:
  • Monitor project expenditures, including costs related to vendors and labor.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including records related to vendors and labor.
  • Prepare regular reports on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  1. Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between on-site teams, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all parties are informed of project status and developments.
  1. Problem Solving:
  • Identify challenges related to vendors and labor and proactively implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with the project team to address unforeseen issues promptly.
  1. Travel:
  • Travel to project sites across India as required, adapting to varying project locations and durations.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  1. Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, regulations, and quality standards.
  1. Skills:
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse project locations and work environments.
  1. Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or site supervision will be an advantage.
  1. Travel:
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across India.
