Our team is responsible for pre-Silicon level HW/FW/SW validation, find bugs and drive fixes.As a Pre-Silicon Validation Engineer you are required to create, define and develop system validation environment and test suites optimized for an IP or its subsystems like TSN, CAN, DDR, PCIe, I3C and USB other modules of given complexity and meeting requirements as per spec.You are responsible for the development of methodologies, developing test case and complex scenarios, execution of validation plans/ coverage, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving pre-silicon test content and providing feedback for enhancement wrt features and debug.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master's in Hardware Engineering /Electronics Engineering /Computer Engineering or Computer Science with minimum 5 years to 10 years (Domain Lead position) of related work experience.
Candidate Must have high degree of Hardware architecture/ microarchitecture experience in CPU/SoC/Chipset/IP/Testchip and one of the subsystems areas given below
Must have [in any one or more domains]
Deep understanding on TSN, CAN, DDR, PCIe, I3C, USB, Serial IOs.
Familiar in coming up with coverage matrix, testplan and designing the test scenarios based on complexity of the IP.
Familiar in developing the framework wrt randomization and concurrency of testcases.
Excellent written and oral communications and experience working in a cross functional team environment are essential.
Good Team Player.
Processes strong problem solving, analytical and debug skills.
Added advantage
High Proficiency working knowledge in C++/Python SW programming for content development and scripting.
Knowledge of ARM/RISC is added advantage.
Solid understanding of the Validation and Debug flows of a complex IP/SOC design.
Knowledge on Validation/ Debug Flows and overall SOC Architecture.
Pre-silicon Design / Validation knowledge is a value added.
Understanding FPGA platform and Emulation platform.

1. We’re looking for candidate with experience and should be comfortable writing Python scripts on both Linux and Windows, and should know to navigate the settings/environment of both the OS, preferred to have written vast amounts of high quality automation code earlier.

2. Solid understanding of Intel Architecture, with design experience or working knowledge on CPU, Testchip, Chipset and Platform.

3. Strong low-level debugging skills that enable the root causing of issues cross hardware, firmware and Operating System levels.

4. Solid understanding and hands-on development/validation experience of popular SoC/PC technologies.

5. Understanding of Operating System, Driver, BIOS and firmware fundamentals.

Working experience on microcontroller based debugger is desirable.

6. In-depth knowledge of CPU flows and experience on silicon level debug.

7. Wide understanding of Test, Debug and Analysis Tools – Minimum 3+ years of experience in build systems, processes and environments, software, automation design work, debugging, and scripting in Python or Bash. - Your understanding on the PCIe standard from a Software perspective is preferred.

8. Should be a self-starter, quick learner; capable of setting priorities and remain efficient while multi-tasking. Should have demonstrated capability to work within a team environment, facing fast-changing requirements and complicated stakeholder.

9. Programming: Python 3.x with OOPS, Shell Scripting, CI/CD and Test Automation Frameworks: eg. Jenkins. Test Tools: eg. Python based debug tools SCM-  Git, Gitlab. Build- Cmake / GNU Makefile. Candidate should have contributed ideas for continually improving the code optimization and the quality
