We Are Hiring – IT & Security Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT & Security Lead to manage and strengthen Bark’s overall IT operations and security framework. In this role, you will lead IT administration and security initiatives, manage tools and vendors, and ensure secure IT practices across the organization.

You will manage a small IT team including a UK-based IT specialist and work closely with Engineering teams to drive security and automation initiatives. This role reports to the Head of Platform Engineering and IT.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the Technical Services / IT team
2. Own IT infrastructure management, administration, and security
3. Manage endpoint devices (MacOS & Windows) across the organization
4. Drive development of IT capabilities, internal tools, and automation
5. Handle IT budget planning and expenditure tracking
6. Manage vendors and third-party IT/security tools
7. Ensure data security across IT operations and business tooling
8. Plan and execute IT strategy and long-term capability evolution
9. Manage internal projects related to automation, security, and tooling

Required Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience managing end-to-end IT administration independently
2. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
3. Experience with vendor and IT budget management
4. Excellent project and time management skills
5. Prior experience leading IT teams with strong people management skills
6. Hands-on experience supporting MacOS and Windows systems
7. Experience with CrowdStrike or similar endpoint security tools
8. Strong experience in Google Workspace administration
9. Hands-on experience in network administration & security (Firewalls, LAN/WAN, VPNs)
10. Demonstrated experience driving secure IT and security best practices
11. Good to Have (Plus Skills)
12. Experience with Okta (IAM)
13. Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
14. MDM tools like JumpCloud / Kandji
15. Automation tools such as Zapier, Google Apps Script, PowerShell
16. Databases and tools like BigQuery, MySQL, Retool
