Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reporting To: Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager

Role Purpose

To support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in compliance and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain daily books of accounts (cash, bank, vouchers)

Record sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries

Handle bank entries, bank reconciliation, and cash reconciliation

Assist in invoice processing and payment follow-ups

Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers, and documents

Support preparation of monthly reports as required

Assist during audits and statutory compliance

Coordinate with internal teams for data and clarifications

Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial data

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting

Basic knowledge of accounting principles

Familiarity with MS Excel (basic formulas)

Knowledge of Tally / accounting software preferred

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Willingness to learn and follow processes

Experience

Fresher or up to 1 year of relevant experience
