Diesel Generator Operator Responsibilities:

1. Operation and Monitoring

·        Start, operate, and shut down the diesel generator as per operational requirements.

·        monitor generator performance, including voltage, frequency, engine temperature, and load.

·        Ensure the generator operates within safe and optimal conditions to prevent damage or inefficiency.

2. Routine Checks and Maintenance

·        Perform daily and periodic checks on the generator’s key components, including fuel levels, oil, filters, and cooling systems.

·        Ensure the generator is properly lubricated and cleaned to maintain peak performance.

3. Log Book Maintenance

·        Maintain a daily generator running log, noting important data such as fuel consumption, hours of operation, and any abnormalities.

·        Document all maintenance tasks, repairs, and update in the log book.

4. Fuel & DEF Management

·        Monitor Fuel & DEF levels and ensure an adequate supply of fuel is available for continuous operation.

·        Refill the generator as needed and track fuel consumption patterns for operational efficiency.

5. Troubleshooting and Fault Diagnosis

·        Identify the faults or malfunctions in the generator system.

·        Report major issues for appropriate action by maintenance personnel.

6. Safety Compliance

·        Follow safety procedures and guidelines as per the site instruction while operating and maintaining the generator to prevent accidents or damage.

·        Ensure all safety equipment is in place and operational, including fire extinguishers and emergency shutdown systems.

·        Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during operations.

7. Emergency Response

·        Respond promptly and appropriately during power outages or system failures, ensuring the generator is ready for emergency use.

·        Ensure smooth operation during emergencies and power restoration, including safe shutdown and restart procedures.

8. Communication and Reporting

·        Report any operational issues, maintenance needs, or performance irregularities to supervisors or relevant personnel.

·        Provide detailed reports on maintenance schedules, issues encountered, and actions taken.

10. Generator Performance Optimization

·        Regularly assess the generator's performance and implement actions to improve efficiency and reliability as per the manufacturing guidelines.

·        Coordinate with the office back team to schedule necessary update.

·        Basic operation & Maintenance training will be providing
