Job Description – Management Trainee (PMS)HR Department – Muthoot Finance / Unsecured Lending Division**

Work Location: Bangalore – Corporate Office

Function: Human Resources – Performance Management

Position: Management Trainee – PMS

Reporting To: Head – HR (Unsecured Lending – PL & BL)


1. Role SummaryThe Management Trainee – PMS will support the Head of HR in the design, administration, and execution of the Performance Management System for employees under the Unsecured Lending Vertical (Personal Loan & Business Loan). The role ensures smooth PMS operations, effective goal setting, data management, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities.

Performance Management System (PMS) AdministrationAssist the Head of HR in end-to-end PMS administration for PL & BL employees.

  • Monitor timely completion of goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
  • Ensure PMS policies and guidelines are adhered to across all teams.
  • B. Goal Setting & AlignmentSupport organizational and individual goal-setting processes.
  • Coordinate with managers to ensure goals are SMART and aligned with business priorities.
  • C. Performance Data ManagementManage, collate, and validate PMS ratings and appraisal data.
  • Prepare consolidated PMS dashboards and MIS for management review.
  • Maintain records of goal sheets, rating sheets, and appraisal documents.
  • D. Coordination with Total Rewards & HR TeamsLiaise with the Total Rewards team regarding compensation revision, salary letters, and related queries.

Support in preparing revised compensation letters and ensuring accuracy.


  • PMS Tools & Process ImplementationSupport the deployment, usage, and improvement of PMS software/tools.
  • Ensure managers and employees are trained on PMS processes.
  • Provide ongoing support for PMS inquiries.

Career Development & High-Potential ProgramsSupport high-potential (HiPo) development frameworks, tools, and procedures.

  • Assist in talent identification and career progression mapping.
  • G. Assessment Centre SupportSupport in planning and conducting assessment centers for senior management promotions and development.
  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communication.
  • H. PMS Compliance & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with HRBPs, managers, and business leaders to drive timely PMS completion.
  • Support PMS governance, compliance checks, and escalation management.

Strategic HR SupportContribute to PMS-related projects, process improvements, and automation.

  • Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs based on PMS insights.
  • 3. Desired Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and data management skills (Excel, MIS, reporting).
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Basic understanding of PMS, goal setting, and HR processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • 4. Qualification & ExperienceMBA / PGDM in HR from a recognized institution.
  • Fresher or up to 1 year of HR experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of HR operations and PMS Concepts With Strong Excel skills (V-lookup, Pivot Table, MIS reporting)

Ability to analyse PMS data, ratings, and goal sheets Good with KPI/KRA tracking and data interpretation
