• Fire Protection System DesignReview building drawings and fire safety codes.
• Design fire protection systems according to standards such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
• Prepare layouts for:

• Fire hydrant systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Smoke detection systems
• Ensure proper coverage and spacing of detectors and sprinklers.
• 2. Installation & Site SupervisionSupervise installation of fire protection equipment:
• 
  
• Sprinkler piping
• Hydrant piping
• Fire alarm cables
• Fire pumps
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and HVAC teams.

3. Fire Alarm & Detection SystemsResponsible for installation and testing of:

• Smoke detectors
• Heat detectors
• Manual call points (MCP)
• Fire alarm panels
• Public address systems

Ensure proper communication between alarm systems and emergency response systems.

4. Fire Suppression SystemsMonitor installation and functioning of:

• Automatic sprinkler systems
• Hydrant and hose reel systems
• Gas suppression systems (for server rooms, electrical rooms)
• Fire extinguishers

Ensure correct pressure, flow rate, and coverage.

• 5. Inspection and TestingConduct regular inspections of fire safety systems.
• Perform testing such as:

• Alarm testing
• Sprinkler flow testing
• Maintain inspection records and reports.

6. Safety ComplianceEnsure compliance with:

• Local fire authority regulations

• 7. Emergency Planning & TrainingConduct fire drills and evacuation training.
