Merchandiser

Job Summary:

The Merchandiser will be responsible for coordinating between buyers and production teams to ensure timely execution of textile orders. The role involves handling order follow-ups, sampling, production tracking, client communication, and ensuring quality and delivery timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Handle end-to-end order coordination from enquiry to dispatch

·        Communicate with buyers regarding requirements, specifications, and timelines

·        Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch teams

·        Monitor sampling, approvals, and bulk production progress

·        Ensure timely delivery as per committed schedule

·        Follow up on raw material availability and production planning

·        Maintain order sheets, production status reports, and buyer communication records

·        Monitor quality standards as per buyer requirements

·        Handle documentation related to orders and dispatch

·        Support in price negotiations and costing (if applicable)

Skills & Requirements:

·        Minimum 2–3 years of experience in textile merchandising

·        Good knowledge of textile production processes (fabric / garments / yarn – as applicable)

·        Strong coordination and follow-up skills

·        Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously

·        Good communication skills (verbal & written)

·        Knowledge of buyer handling and sampling process

·        Basic understanding of costing and order documentation

·        Proficiency in MS Excel and email communication

·        Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
