Job Description
- 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Plant Operation & MonitoringStart, stop, and operate pumps, blowers, mixers, valves, dosing systems, and treatment units.
- Monitor process parameters such as pH, turbidity, TDS, DO, MLSS, chlorine, etc.
- Adjust chemical dosing based on jar test or process requirements.
- Record plant readings in logbook/SCADA system.
- B. Equipment MaintenancePerform routine maintenance like cleaning strainers, checking pump health, greasing, backwashing filters, etc.
- Assist maintenance team in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
- Report any abnormalities or breakdowns immediately.
- C. Laboratory & Quality ChecksCollect and test water samples (raw, treated, intermediate).
- Conduct basic tests: pH, TSS, COD/BOD sample collection, chlorine residual, etc.
- Ensure treated water meets regulatory and client standards.
- D. Safety & ComplianceFollow all safety protocols related to chemical handling, confined space, PPE usage, etc.
- Maintain good housekeeping across the plant.
- Ensure adherence to pollution control board norms and plant SOPs.
