An Order Taker, Sr Order Taker,

Typically within a restaurant setting, is responsible for accurately receiving, recording, and processing guest food and beverage orders via telephone or in-person.

They ensure high-quality service by using polite communication, maintaining product knowledge, and coordinating with the kitchen, while managing billing and acting as the primary point of contact for service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly handle all incoming guest calls with a friendly and professional tone.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation times.
• Input orders accurately into the POS (Point of Sale) system, noting special dietary requirements or modifications.
• Suggestive selling to promote additional items and increase revenue.
• Coordinate between the kitchen, bar, and servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Perform cashiering duties (billing, charging to room, processing credit cards).
• Manage guest complaints and special requests professionally.
