Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately and efficiently.
• Review and verify prescriptions to ensure appropriate dosage, possible drug interactions, and patient safety.
• Provide counseling to patients regarding the proper use of medications, possible side effects, and storage instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and controlled substances in compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to review and adjust medication therapy as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders for pharmaceutical supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability and proper storage.
• Educate patients on health topics including immunizations, chronic disease management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Stay up to date with pharmaceutical knowledge, new medications, and industry regulations.
• Administer vaccinations and perform health screenings (if licensed and permitted by regulations).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active pharmacist license [Karnataka medical council ].
• Proven experience as a pharmacist in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines, drug interactions, and dosage requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory systems.
