Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join Sri Suresh Gurukula. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for children in Playgroup, Nursery, Junior KG, and Senior KG. The teacher will play a vital role in shaping young minds by delivering age-appropriate lessons, fostering creativity, and supporting the emotional and social development of students.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Management

The teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages learning and participation. This includes managing student behavior positively, ensuring discipline, and creating a supportive atmosphere where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. The teacher must also ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization within the classroom at all times.

Lesson Planning and Delivery

The teacher is expected to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum. Lessons should incorporate storytelling, activities, games, and creative methods to make learning enjoyable and effective. The teacher should adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and ensure that each child receives adequate attention and support.

Student Development and Assessment

Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students is a key responsibility. The teacher should observe children’s academic, social, and emotional development and provide regular feedback. Assessments should be informal and continuous, focusing on overall growth rather than just academic performance.

Communication with Parents

Since Sri Suresh Gurukula provides education in Kannada, Hindi, and English, the teacher should be comfortable communicating in at least two of these languages. The ability to introduce concepts in multiple languages will be an added advantage.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum qualification of PUC/Graduate degree, preferably with a background in education or early childhood development. A diploma or certification in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori training, or equivalent will be an added advantage. Candidates with prior teaching experience in pre-primary or primary education will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

While prior teaching experience is preferred, freshers with a strong passion for teaching and working with children are also encouraged to apply. Experience in handling early childhood classes will be an added advantage.
