Production Assistant

Job Description:

The Production Assistant will support daily textile production activities to ensure smooth workflow, timely output, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with supervisors, monitoring production schedules, maintaining records, and assisting in quality and process control within the textile manufacturing environment.

Key

Responsibilities:

·        Assist in day-to-day production operations in the textile unit

·        Monitor production schedules and ensure targets are met

·        Coordinate with machine operators, supervisors, and quality teams

·        Maintain production records, reports, and shift data

·        Support quality checks and ensure adherence to production standards

·        Identify production issues and report deviations to seniors

·        Ensure housekeeping, safety, and compliance with shop-floor norms

·        Assist in raw material usage tracking and wastage control

·        Follow company SOPs and production procedures

Skills & Requirements –

·        Minimum 2–3 years of experience in textile production operations

·        Hands-on exposure to shop-floor production activities

·        Basic understanding of textile production processes (spinning / weaving / knitting / dyeing / garmenting – as applicable)

·        Ability to monitor production schedules and meet daily targets

·        Knowledge of quality control practices and defect identification

·        Basic documentation skills for production records and reports

·        Good coordination and communication skills with supervisors and operators

·        Awareness of factory safety norms and SOPs

·        Ability to work in shifts and under production pressure

·        Physically fit for shop-floor and factory environment

·        Willingness to learn and follow instructions from seniors
