Production Associate / Production Helper

Production Associate role involves assisting in the manufacturing process by operating machinery, assembling & dismantling equipment / parts, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of production environment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities include following production schedules, meeting quality and safety standards, managing materials, and cooperating with team members to achieve production targets.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating Machinery: Operating, setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure smooth, efficient and effective operation /ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Quality Control: Conducting quality checks on finished products and components, identifying defects, and ensuring consistency with established standards.

Hygiene control: Maintain a clean and organized production environment, adhering to cleanliness and hygiene standards. (Includes equipment, floor, wall, ceiling, etc.)

Material Management: Preparing materials for production and handover FG.

Safety & Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and following Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

Teamwork & Communication: Collaborating with team members, reporting issues to supervisors, and potentially training less experienced colleagues.

Documentation: Recording production activities, documenting daily outputs, and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and cleaning of equipment and performing basic maintenance to prevent downtime.

Training: Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and operational improvements.

Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggesting enhancements to processes. 

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

1.                 ITI or High school diploma or equivalent.

2.                 1 - 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

3.                 Basic understanding of production processes and machinery.

4.                 Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

5.                 Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

6.                 Ability to read, write and talk in English.

Preferred:

1.                 Experience with quality control processes and standards from Food industry / FMCG.

2.                 Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, etc.

3.                 Ability to operate MHE or forklifts or other industrial equipment.

4.                 Proficiency in using basic hand tools and production equipment.

5.                 Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
