Production Supervisor

• Administratively: Production Manager
• Number of Employees Handled: 30–50 (Production Team)PURPOSE OF THE ROLECoordinate and monitor production and maintenance activities.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure quantitative production as per capacity.
• Achieve planned production targets of the section/line.
• Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Provide technical support wherever necessary.
• Plan manpower for the section/line.
• Demonstrate strong man-management skills.
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIESProduction Planning & ExecutionSet daily/weekly/monthly production objectives and communicate them to employees.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
• Oversee and coach employees to improve productivity.
• Check production output according to specifications.
• Submit reports on performance and progress.
• Identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
• Improve quality of products and line/section efficiency through process improvements.
• Maintenance & EquipmentEnsure safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
• Assist/lead in the implementation of new equipment from capital investments.
• Contribute to capital expenditure planning for future production requirements.
• Manpower & TrainingTrain new employees on safe machine usage and procedures.
• Assist with on-the-job training for operatives.
• Manage and supervise 30–50 manpower effectively.
• Material HandlingAssist with raw material changes.
• Ensure production lines have adequate supply of trays, containers, and materials for de-moulded parts.
• Quality AssurancePerform visual inspections of produced parts.
• Notify Moulding Specialists and QA department of non-conforming parts.
• Participate in internal audits.
• Maintain Quality Systems as per ISO 13485 standards.
• Safety & Work EnvironmentEnsure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness standards and product safety guidelines.
• Address safety issues immediately (people, equipment, or work area).
• Ensure compliance with ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.
• Additional ResponsibilitiesAssist in secondary operations.
• Inspect and package finished goods.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Strong attitude, ethics, integrity, and commitment.
• Good communication skills (Read & Write in English & Kannada).
• Knowledge of SAP, ERP, ISO standards.
• Leadership and organizational abilities.
• POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducational QualificationDiploma in Mechanical Engineering / Leather Technology or related discipline.
• Experience3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Process/Tooling Engineer (preferred).
• Experience in LEAN Manufacturing.
• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role.
• Technical & Functional SkillsExperience using manufacturing machinery.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project).
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Results-driven and self-motivated approach.

CompensationSalary Range: ₹2.5 – ₹3.0 LPA (CTC)
