Production Supervisor

Job Description:

1. Supervision /control of manufacturing activities.
2. Develop daily, weekly & monthly production schedules based on customer orders and forecasted demand.
3. Optimize machine loading and job sequencing for CNC/VMC machines to maximize efficiency.
4. Coordinate with the procurement/stores department to ensure raw materials, tools, and fixtures are available.
5. Monitor progress against schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

CNC/VMC Operations & Process Control:

1. Supervise machining operations to ensure compliance with technical drawings, G-code/M-code programs, and quality standards
2. Drive process improvement by reducing setup times and optimizing machining parameters (feeds and speeds)
3. Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process check to minimize rejections
4. Troubleshoot production bottlenecks and machine downtime issues

Team Management & Coordination:

1. Allocate manpower and tasks to operators and setters for different shifts.
2. Train operators on safety procedures, new techniques, and quality standards.
3. Maintain discipline and foster teamwork on the shop floor.

Inventory & Cost Control:

1. Manage raw material consumption, reducing waste and scrap.
2. Maintain tool inventory and manage spare parts for CNC/VMC machines
3. Ensure accurate documentation of production data, including downtime and output, using ERP or Excel systems
4. Ensure adherence to safety protocols (5S) and ISO 9001:2015 standards
5. Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and GD&T.
2. Understanding of Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controller systems.
3. Knowledge of CAM software and tool management.

2. Strong leadership and manpower handling abilities.
