Purchase Executive

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement, vendor management, and cost optimization to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality materials and components.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Develop and manage vendor relationships, focusing on sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, and molded parts.

Establish new suppliers/vendors and manage the vendor creation process to expand sourcing options.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize costs.

Foster long-term relationships with key suppliers for strategic sourcing and improved performance.

Inventory & Cost Management:

Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely procurement.

Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and compliance.

Collaborate with finance and production teams to track budgets and expenses.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure that purchased materials and components meet company and industry standards.

Conduct supplier audits and inspections to maintain quality control.

Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Work closely with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements.

Prepare reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and cost analysis.

Utilize ERP or procurement software to streamline purchasing operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 5-10 years in procurement within the automotive industry.

Specialization: Expertise in costing and vendor development for sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, and molded parts.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
