Job Summary:
WEA Design is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely availability of materials for our interior design projects while maintaining cost efficiency and high-quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes and contribute to the successful execution of design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely availability of materials and furnishings for interior projects.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages. Ensure proper storage and availability of materials when needed.
- Order Placement: Prepare purchase orders, review supplier invoices, and ensure alignment with project requirements and company policies.
- Cost Control: Work within budget constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Provide regular reports on procurement activities and expenses.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased materials meet required quality standards, working closely with the design and project management teams to verify material suitability.
- Vendor Relations: Handle issues related to deliveries, order discrepancies, and quality concerns, maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and emerging suppliers in the interior design industry. Conduct research to identify potential opportunities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment records.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in BE Civil, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 year of experience in procurement, preferably in the interior design, construction, or furniture industry
