Job Summary

The Purchase Executive – Civil Department is responsible for procuring civil construction materials and services required for projects, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely availability as per project schedules.

• Key Responsibilities
• Procure civil construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, bricks, RMC, tiles, and fittings
• Identify and evaluate vendors and subcontractors
• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms
• Prepare purchase orders and work orders as per project requirements
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for material planning
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
• Maintain purchase records, GRNs, invoices, and vendor documents
• Monitor inventory levels at site and avoid shortages or excess stock
• Ensure materials meet quality and technical specifications
• Handle vendor performance evaluation and issue resolution
• QualificationsBachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• Experience2–5 years of experience in civil or construction procurement
• Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of civil construction materials and specifications
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Cost control and budgeting awareness
• ERP / MS Excel proficiency
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Reporting ToPurchase Manager / Project Manager
