A reputed organization which is into manufacture of Electro-Mechanical and sheet metal enclosures, electrical panels, compact sub-stations, e-houses, SKID and SCADA systems for captive use based out of different factories in and around Bangalore which has an annual turnover of INR 200 Crores.

Job Description – Manager, Quality Assurance

Position Summary

The Manager – Quality Assurance will lead the QA function for the organization, ensuring end-to-end quality compliance across manufacturing processes for sheet metal enclosures, electrical panels, compact substations, e-houses, SKID systems, and SCADA solutions. This role is responsible for strategic quality planning, audits, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring zero non-conformances.
• Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards for monitoring performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Oversee supplier quality programs, including qualification and performance monitoring.
• Manage QA team, providing training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for electrical and electro-mechanical products.
• Collaborate with design, production, and project teams to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Handle customer complaints and warranty claims, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare and present management reports on quality performance and improvement plans.
• Exposure to ESG standards would be an added advantage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering; certification in Quality Management (ISO, Six Sigma) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in QA, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in electro-mechanical manufacturing.
• Expertise in ISO 9001, IEC standards, SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP/QMS software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
