Quality Analyst

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases to validate application functionality, performance, and data accuracy.
• Perform various testing methods including Functional, Regression, API, Integration, and Performance testing.
• Validate data flows and database transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity of application data.
• Identify, analyse, and document defects and work closely with development teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Track defects and testing activities using tools such as JIRA.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are properly tested and validated.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Perform regression testing during new feature releases and product updates.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium or equivalent automation frameworks.
• Prepare detailed test reports, defect reports, and quality documentation.
• Ensure testing coverage across application layers including UI, APIs, and databases.
• Participate in regular progress and status update meetings.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Control roles.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, API, and Integration testing.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Basic programming knowledge in Java, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and data validation.
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for defects.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in automation testing using Selenium or similar tools.
• Exposure to performance or load testing tools.
• Experience testing API-based or microservices architectures.
• Experience working in product-based or fintech environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA roles.
