Restaurant Captain

Role Overview:

As a Captain, you will act as a liaison between the service staff and management, overseeing daily operations on the floor, ensuring smooth service, and creating memorable guest experiences. You will lead by example, supervise junior staff, and uphold the service standards of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff during shifts
• Greet and interact with guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
• Take and manage guest orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and promptly
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food service
• Train and guide junior staff (waiters, stewards, runners)
• Monitor cleanliness, setup, and readiness of the dining area
• Maintain high service and hygiene standards
• Assist in managing reservations and seating arrangements

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Captain or Senior Waiter in a restaurant or hotel
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service and restaurant operations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Customer-focused attitude and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Well-groomed, punctual, and professional demeanor

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
