Job Description


The Sales Executive will be responsible for delivering an exceptional in‑store experience to customers visiting our Havells electrical and electronics outlet. They will understand customer needs, recommend suitable products, close sales, and build long‑term relationships while upholding the Havells brand image.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet every walk‑in customer warmly and understand their requirements through active listening and probing questions.
  • Explain features, specifications, and benefits of Havells products (fans, lights, switches, MCBs, appliances, etc.) in simple, customer‑friendly language.
  • Suggest appropriate product options and add‑ons (upselling/cross‑selling) based on usage, budget, and site needs.
  • Demonstrate products where applicable and share basic installation, usage, and safety guidance.
  • Prepare estimates/quotations, share pricing and ongoing offers clearly, and support customers in decision‑making.
  • Capture customer details and follow up via phone/WhatsApp on pending enquiries, quotations, and repeat requirements.
  • Coordinate with electricians, contractors, and architects (where relevant) for project or bulk requirements.
  • Maintain product displays, ensure shelves are well‑stocked, clean, and price tags are updated.
  • Handle basic billing, payment support, and work closely with the cashier to ensure smooth checkout.
  • Record daily customer interactions, enquiries, and sales in the store tracking system or app as required.
  • Stay updated on Havells product portfolio, new launches, and competitor offerings to confidently handle comparisons and objections.
  • Support activities to boost brand visibility in‑store (standees, demos, sampling, local promotions).

Desired Profile

1–3 years of experience in retail/electrical/electronics sales preferred; freshers with good communication may also apply.

  • Basic understanding of household electrical items (fans, lighting, wiring devices, MCBs, small appliances).
  • Strong communication skills in local language and basic English; ability to explain technical details simply.
  • Customer‑oriented attitude, patience, and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Comfortable using smartphone apps / basic computer for billing, reporting, and WhatsApp follow‑ups.
  • Working Hours & ReportingFull‑time, store‑based role with weekly off as per roster.
  • Reports to: Store Manager / Retail Supervisor.
