Retail Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end retail operations of The Organic World store, ensuring exceptional customer experience, driving sales performance, managing staff, and maintaining operational excellence. The role demands strong leadership, accountability, and a passion for organic and sustainable retail.

• Key Responsibilities1. Store Operations ManagementEnsure smooth day‑to‑day running of the store as per TOW SOPs.
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and visual merchandising.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish inventory, and coordinate with warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with audits, quality checks, and statutory guidelines.
• 2. Sales & Business PerformanceAchieve monthly store sales targets and KPIs.
• Drive upselling, cross-selling, and conversion initiatives.
• Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Ensure effective implementation of promotions, campaigns, and in-store events.
• 3. Team Leadership & DevelopmentManage, train, and motivate the store team (Associates, Cashiers, TLs).
• Conduct daily briefings, assign duties, and monitor performance.
• Schedule manpower effectively to meet business needs.
• Identify training needs and ensure skill development of team members.
• 4. Customer Service ExcellenceCreate a welcoming, customer‑centric environment.
• Handle customer queries, escalations, and resolve issues professionally.
• Promote loyalty programs and customer engagement initiatives.
• 5. Inventory & Loss PreventionManage stock receiving, storage, and accurate documentation.
• Control shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage.
• Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate inventory management.
• 6. Reporting & CoordinationPrepare daily/weekly reports on sales, manpower, and operations.
• Coordinate with supply chain, HR, marketing, and finance teams.
• Communicate SOP changes and updates to the store team.
• Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred (not mandatory).
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of retail experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Prior experience in organic, FMCG, supermarket, or specialty retail is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make business decisions.
• Proficient in POS systems, MS Excel, and basic reporting.
